Mosque Design in Burao
A mosque is designed around the prayer hall, its orientation to the qibla and the ablution areas. Somdesign Architects has drawn mosques, including the HP-488 Masjid set of 35 sheets.

04 / Your questions
Before we begin.
What does mosque design cover in Burao?
The prayer hall oriented to the qibla, the ablution and entrance areas, and the flow of worshippers.
What should I consider when planning a house in Burao?
Burao is an inland, semi-arid trading hub. The inland climate is dry, and materials generally arrive by road from Berbera or Hargeisa, which is worth allowing for in the programme.
Why does orientation matter in a mosque?
The prayer hall faces the qibla, so the whole layout is arranged around that direction.
